Sunshine and Smiles: Team Orange Running Club Kicks Off Summer with Sizzling BBQ
Coventry, UK – July 22, 2025 – The air was filled with the delicious aroma of sizzling burgers and the cheerful chatter of friends as Team Orange Running Club celebrated the start of summer with their highly anticipated annual BBQ. Held yesterday, July 21st, at a sun-drenched private venue just outside Coventry, the event was a resounding success, bringing together runners of all ages and abilities for an afternoon of food, fun, and camaraderie.

Despite a brief cloud cover threatening earlier in the day, the sun broke through just in time, bathing the gathering in glorious summer light. Families spread out on picnic blankets, children chased each other across the grass, and the grill masters (a dedicated team of club volunteers) worked tirelessly to keep up with the demand for perfectly cooked delights.

"It's fantastic to see so many familiar faces, and some new ones too!" beamed Club Secretary, Sarah Jenkins, as she surveyed the lively scene. "The BBQ is always a highlight of our calendar. It’s a chance for everyone to relax, socialise away from the tracks and trails, and celebrate our shared love for running and this wonderful community we’ve built."

Beyond the fantastic food, which included a wide array of salads, desserts, and vegetarian options, the event featured a lively atmosphere with impromptu games of rounders and frisbee keeping everyone entertained. Younger members were particularly delighted by the bouncy castle, which proved to be a popular attraction throughout the afternoon.

One of the newer members, Mark Davies, who joined Team Orange just six months ago, commented, "This is my first club BBQ, and it's even better than I imagined. Everyone has been so welcoming, and it’s great to put faces to names from our weekly runs. It really highlights the strong community spirit of Team Orange."

As the afternoon drew to a close, with satisfied smiles all around, it was clear that the Team Orange Running Club's summer BBQ had once again hit the mark. It served as a perfect reminder that while the miles may be individual, the spirit of running, and the joy of friendship, are truly a collective effort. With spirits high, Team Orange is now ready to tackle the rest of their summer running schedule with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
